I find it interesting that English grammar in German is often referred to as an Idiot's something. Is this implying that using English trends in German is typically unacceptable? Or is it like English slang where everybody understands it but doesn't necessarily use it in everyday conversation.
I also found it very interesting that American goods and communication networks are the primary reason for the spread of English. It is weird that a lot of advertising campaigns are still run in English and a lot of job positions are advertised in English to get employees who speak the language fluently. It was especially surprising that the Deutsche Bank now requires that employees speak English. If this trend continues I can see a lot more English becoming assimilated into the German language.
