People on the streets of Ann Arbor are kind of ruthless with their bikes, but I can only imagine the kind of strife the German cyclists could cause with their bikes on the bike paths! But, I have a major question about the texts about order:

If the German's like order, and to be on time etc, then why would they willingly run into you with their bikes? This seems like it would disestablish the order of their day with an equally-damaging bike accident. This seems to hold true through the other article, about the Red Dictator. They dare not cross the street to uphold the law, wipe out any impressions they may give to little Franz, and avoid getting hit/nearly hit by a vehicle.

tl;dr: Why would you willingly run into somebody if it's going to complicate your travels?
