For this amd, i decided to watch a german soccer match. last sunday, Bayer Leverkusen played Schalke and lost 0-1. it was very interesting to try and listen to the commentary in german and pick up on the few words that i knew. also, watching the fans in the stadium, i noticed how much more spirited they were than americans. they really show how much they care for their team and want them to win. after the match, i decided to do a little research on soccer in germany. i learned that soccer in germany is by far the most preferred sport for people to play in their free time. the german league is called Bundesliga and consists of 16 teams that play within germany. they also have a national team that plays in the fifa world cup every four years. theyve won several times, but last year in spain unfortunately came in third.
